From Our Owner
I myself, Nicholas John Destito, was born and raised in the field of arboriculture. My father, Nicholas Glenn Destito, born and raised in Norwood, brought me into the business at the young age of 5 years old. Throughout my childhood, I wrote down my dreams of becoming an arborist and owning and operating a tree business. At the age of 8 years old, I began climbing trees and showing even more interest; going to work with my dad every chance I could get. I proceeded to go to Norfolk County Agricultural High School where I made the hardest decision of my life, to stop working for my biggest role model, my dad.
This is where I found out there are numerous different ways of doing things. You have to have an open mind if you are going to have any chance of being a successful business owner. I went to work for several different tree care firms in the area and I hit the lottery when I began working with a gentleman who taught me the ways of the business. I learned every aspect of the trade, from cabling and bracing to ornamental pruning, large shade tree pruning, and hazardous tree removal, which I fell in love with. I found out that the more risky or difficult the job was the more I loved it. This is where I found my passion for crane work.
At the young age of 19 years old, I became a full-time crane operator for a large tree company out of Stoughton which was a dream come true. I always told my father I wanted to cut down large hazardous trees and he tried to steer me away, looking out for the best interest of his son, having already done that himself. This is where I left the company in Stoughton and went on my own to pursue my passion. 10 years later, we have become the number one choice in the North Attleboro area for hazardous tree removal.
